Our Grade 9 MaST science students cover an incredible amount of territory in their first year. Above and beyond the regular Grade 9 science curriculum, our students cover most of the Grade 10 curriculum as well.  As a result, students in MaST are able to take more senior science courses and take them sooner.  For instance, our Grade 10 students take Grade 11 MaST biology.

In addition to course acceleration, students also participate in Danforth’s Sci-Tech Fair.  Their projects are the culmination of 6 weeks of inquiry based learning and many of our students have gone on to medal at the Metro Sci-Tech Fair.  Alternatively, some of our students decide to participate in the University of Toronto’s Space Design Contest where MaST students have also medalled.
