The technological component of MaST exposes the students to a variety of programs that are not availaible in most high schools. In grade 9 the MaST students spend a half a year learning Technological Design and the other half of the year they learn Computer Programming.
These two courses include material normally covered in grade 10 which allows the students to enroll in grade 11 courses while they are in grade 10. They students can choose from Architectural Design, Engineering Design and Computer Programming.
In addition to their accelerated options, the MaST students can also choose from a wide variety of other technological courses like Autobody, Baking or Carpentry.
Many of the technology projects are featured at the annual Sci-Tech Fair in March. Below, you can see Ms. Sutton introducing and presenting awards to some of our champion chefs.
